Tignes snow report 29.01.2013

Here is the latest snow report from our team in Tignes.

There is 275cm of snow at the top of the Tignes ski area with 128cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was yesterday with 3cm falling.

There are 287km of pistes open in Tignes with 79 of the 89 lifts open also.

Plenty of Snow continues to fall in Tignes. There is powder on the pistes and soft, thick snow all around. After a snowy night there has been a pause in the snow fall and Tignes welcomes blue skies this morning with plenty of sunny spells. The ski conditions are therefore pretty perfect as the first lifts start moving and the first skiers take to the slopes.

Yesterday we skied down to Les Brevieres trying out new black slopes such as épilobe and silène. This is such a vast ski area it is always possible to find new ways down the mountain. Then we traveled on down to Les Brevieres on red pistes such as Chardons and Pavot, which wind their way through the trees to eventually arrive in the little village at the bottom of the mountain.

The mountains around resort continue to be a fun and snow filled playground for staff and guests alike, as new challenges are set and new places are explored, there is always plenty of mountain fun to be had in Tignes.
