Tignes Snow Report 26/03/2013
Here is the latest snow report from our team in Tignes
There is 300cm of snow at the top of the Tignes ski area with 140cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was on March 26th with around 5cmcm falling.
There are 287km of pistes open in the Tignes ski area with 77 out of 81 ski lifts open.
The Espace Killy is looking snowier then ever this morning as our mountain view is covered in yet another layer of heavy snow fall. While the mountain views maybe temporarily missing, the quality of the snow on the pistes continues to be very good as every guest who comes to the resort remarks on the super skiing. It’s true, we have had a great season for snow which is set to continue happily well into April. After the excitement of the X games last week, Tignes now welcomes another fantastic event, The Brits. This is a competition and festival where the best British skiers and snowboarders will compete in events such the half pipe, boarder cross, slope style and rails. Visitors to this event will also enjoy 7 nights of relentless partying. As Tignes reputation for the freestyle capital of the Alps grows and grows, we continue to enjoy it’s amazing mountain environment.
