Tignes Snow Report, 16 Mar 2010

Chalet Cairn, TignesThere is 190cm of snow at the top of the Grande Motte and 121cm in resort. 100% of all lifts and pistes are open.

A wee tinkle of snow set off the day yesterday and just before everyone had arisen, the snow stopped and cleared the way for bright blue skies, as is certainly becoming the norm now in Tignes. We headed up the Aeroski gondola and enjoyed wonderful wide pistes, and took a trip up to the top of the glacier. At the top we paused for a moment to take in the wide open scene, mountains all around, including a spectacular view of Mt. Blanc!

SUN pretty much sums up the forecast to be honest. Grab your sun cream on your way out; you’re going to need it!

Thursday will see the arrival of many different staff teams from both Ski Total and Esprit Ski, from a selection of resorts from all over France. They will all put forward teams to compete in a football match and also in a dramatic slalom battle. Afterwards, there will be a prize giving where an epic prize selection will be awarded to the first placed team, individual, boarder and skier. Good luck to all!
