Tignes Snow Report 08/03/2013
Here is the latest snow report from our team in Tignes
There is 281cm of snow at the top of the Tignes ski area with 136cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was on 28th Feb with around 10cm falling.
There are 287km of pistes open in the Tignes ski area with 75 out of 89 ski lifts open.
The expected snowfall has finally arrived as we wake up in Tignes this morning to a very snowy view out of the window. Snow is falling heavily throughout the valley as Tignes is being covered in a thick white layer of powder. This new snowfall will ensure that the excellent skiing in the Espace Killy continues throughout the month of March as visitors continue to have plenty of fun in this mountain playground. Yesterday we enjoyed all the pistes down to Val D’isere, Le Laisinant and Le Fornet under the beautiful afternoon sunshine, making a stop at the cosy Signal cafe for a hot drink and then sunbathing in the sunny weather. Looking forward, the fresh snow is sure to give more great skiing in Tignes as the season progresses in the best way possible.
