We are currently enjoying some of the best ski days of the season here in Tignes. After the very heavy snowfall of last week, visitors to resort are now taking advantage of the perfectly smooth and soft that glides beneath their skis. Every section of the ski area is a unique adventure for our visitors, and under the blue skies and pleasant temperatures it is a sheer delight to ski about them. With spring just around the corner there is a relaxed and happy feeling in the air around the town. Everyone is content to sunbath on the terraces of the mountain top restaurants or glide down their favourite pistes once again.
Last night visitors to resort we treated to the amazing spectacle of the Full Moon Free ride competition. Some of the best skiers in France came together to make a night time descent of the steep and rocky Tufs Couloirs which sit just above the frozen lake. Each rider wore a headlight and a giant spotlight was on hand to follow these pinpricks of light down this challenging slope. Crowds gathered by the ice rink to marvel at their skills. All in all the last weeks of our season in Tignes are full of sun, snow and always adventure.
