The continuing snow falls in Tignes mean it really is shaping up to be another fantastic week in Tignes.
For those who wish to escape the pistes the off-piste within the Espace Killy area has an exceptional choice of various areas to enjoy the continuing fresh powder.
The Grande Motte glacier has provided magnificent views and enables for some of the longest runs in Tignes, with wider runs for those who want to combine their carving with photo opportunities.
The ”Descente” run off the top of the glacier is experiencing the best conditions it’s seen this season and then carrying onto the ”double M” run down into Val Claret has been a favourite this week. The L’Aiguille Percee Mountain is also revelling in the best conditions of the season with the ”Corniche” run and then the ”Myostostis” run allowing for an amazing run down to Les Brevieres.
Once again enabling for everyone to be clocking up the kms around only the Tignes area of the Espace Killy, leaving plenty of time to indulge in the fantastic conditions over in the Val d’Isere Espace Killy area.
Weather forecast for next 3 days is for 5 cms of snow forecast for today, light snow due for tomorrow and due to clear up to a beautiful day on Thursday.
This week in Tignes we have the ”Snow Safari” sponsored by Sony, inviting everyone to join them in expressing photographic talent in the snow covered landscape offered here in Tignes. As we all know a mountain trip is always a good opportunity to take great pictures so Sony are helping the quality of these pictures by offering very own guide and the use of the latest camera equipment.
Also, this week as there has been every week in Tignes, there is the opportunity to have the piste to yourself with the ”fresh tracks” happening every Wednesday. An impressive run from the top of the Grande Motte to the heart of the resort all before 9am!!
