The Ski Total 2012/2013 Winter Food Menu
The annual menu preparations are underway in the French Alps as the Ski Total Catering Team plan and cook the dishes that will be offered to guests in the Ski Total chalets and Chalet Hotels this winter.
Every year the menus are changed and updated to keep on track with current food trends, as well as being planned to give skiers the nutritional input required on an active ski holiday. And of course on holiday we all want to be spoilt, so there are decadent desserts and stylish starters to look forward too. Don’t forget that we also offer a choice of 4 complimentary wines with our evening meals in all our chalets and 5 in our Hotels.
All the dishes are taste tested (someone has to do it!) and cooked using ingredients that can be sourced in the Alps so they can be as authentic as possible. This is important to us as our menus are designed by chefs who have lived, worked and skied in the Alps for many years and who read all the feedback we receive from our past guests.
Dishes are then photographed and a recipe book created which is distributed to all the Ski Total catering staff before the season starts so they can start practising before our own intensive Catering Training starts in November. We will share a few of these photographs before the season starts so that we can whet your appetite and to give you an idea of what you can expect when you stay with us this winter.
Do you have a favourite dish from one of our previous winter menus?
One of our favorites has always been sticky toffee pudding. Let us know in the comment section below or on our facebook page what your favourite is.
