Here is the latest snow report from our team in St Anton
There is 150cm at the top of the ski area and 70cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was on the 21st with 10cm falling.
At the moment there are 37 out of 38 runs open and all 28 lifts are open.
Winter conditions are coming back to St Anton! Snow is forecasted for today and Wednesday with good dump on Thursday afternoon and night. Temperatures will fall down to -19 degrees in the mountain area. In the resort they will vary between 2 and -11.
Snow conditions in St Anton are perfect at the moment for all! Depth of the snow in the mountain is exceptional and all of the snow cannons are working to make sure that this will be maintain. Air temperatures are mild which gives perfect time to explore the area for the whole day.
At the moment St Anton is full of snow enthusiasts that find Christmas celebration a perfect time to be here on the Arlberg slopes. Rendlbahn finally opened on 21st December giving all of us opportunity to explore yet untouched slopes and runs of Rendl area. Moreover Vallugabahn is opened that can take you up to the highest point in the resort 2811m to enjoy the spectacular scenery of the mountains. If you are very competent skier you can hire a guide and descent down from there to Lech.
On Thursday St Anton is hosting a festive end of the year concert by the Wiltener Boys Choir- one of the oldest and most traditional choir in the Alps.
On Sunday 30th December a spectacular event ‘Driving Snow’ takes place in St Anton at the World Cup Stadium. It is organize together with Ski School Arlberg and Tourist Board and will take you through history of the skiing and how the skiing developed in Arlberg area. This is outdoor event with free admission so please come along!
