St Anton Snow Report 22/02/2013
Here is the latest snow report from our team in St Anton
There is 250cm of snow at the top of the St Anton ski area with 85cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was yesterday with 5cm of fresh snow falling.
265km of ski runs are open in St Anton with all 79 lifts open too
Over the next couple of days we have another 6cm of snow forecast to provide us with a lovely top powder on the already fantastic snow we have here in resort. Saturday morning is due to be clear so make sure you get out early and make the most of the sunny spell. Temperatures are due to stay around the -10, -11 mark so wrap up warm and have a few delicious gluhweins on your tour around the slopes.
The past couple of weeks have seen amazing amounts of snow, hence the astonishing 250cm we have in the highest parts. The week started off with a few beautiful blue bird days but don’t worry, temperatures were certainly low ensuring the snow didn’t melt. Towards the middle of the week we started to see a few snowy days, yesterday in particular with 5cm falling throughout the day.
With half-term over the resort should be returning back to normal, lifts should be a little quieter and the queues in spar should be getting shorter. As always the ski show wows audiences of all ages and is not to be missed. Why not head down on Wednesday to watch the local ski school instructors perform a breathtaking synchronized ski routine followed by a spectacular fireworks display.
