St Anton Snow Report, 13 Jan 2012

St Anton, AustriaThe most incredible 520cm of snow is lying on the upper slopes of St Anton with 190cm at resort level.

The last couple of days have been seen some amazing blue sky skiing with sun screen needed out on the slopes. Today visibility is lower with light snow forecast for later today. Due to the huge dump of snow last week there is still some amazing off piste to be discovered. On piste some of the runs are a little icy due to the sun but there is still an amazing thick layer of snow, the most snow seen in St Anton for 10 years.

Light snow is forecast today then clear sunshine until Tuesday when it gets a bit cloudier. It is feeling colder due to the clear skies.

“Ladies First” continues till the end of the month with a free booklet available from the tourist office with money off vouchers and a free gift. In other news St Anton residents have been working very hard to clear the snow from the roads, there has been some respite from the heavy snowfall so now all roads and rail into St Anton are open ready for our next arrival of guests.
