The next 3 days are predicted to have anywhere between 3-13cm of snow falling daily and temperatures of between -2 to -16oC. This brings perfect conditions for all powder hunter but don’t worry for all sun lovers though, it is supposed to be returning towards the end of the week for all new arrivals over the weekend.

The previous two weeks of sunshine in the Arlberg region has been replaced with some overcast skies, a significant drop in temperature and the prospect of FRESH POWDER! All are eagerly anticipating a new snow fall after a good tanning for all our representatives during the previous weeks. The conditions of the slope have maintained a very good condition despite a good dolloping of spring sunshine as cooler evening temperatures have helped preserve the snow and the squadrons of piste bashers have helped groom the slopes to perfection every evening. The sunshine has positively affected the paving around the resort as it is now mostly ice free keeping the ground sure underfoot for any journeys to and from town and the odd foray into the buzzing après and nightlife in and around St. Anton. All runs and lifts are currently open, offering some of the best variety of ski runs available in the Alps perfect for all abilities of skier and snowboarder.

The ever popular ski show ‘The Snow Must Go On’ exhibits weekly every Wednesday evening from 9pm at no cost at all! The 45 minute snow spectacular documents the development of skiing from its most humble beginnings in the late 19th century to its most recent developments in the 21st, with a range of displays from freestyle skiing to pistebashers with fireworks, an event surely not to be missed.

On the 17th of March the Battle begins! The O’Neill Kirschbaum Battle goes into its 8th round. It’s a classic battle freestyle competition in the Arlberg’s best snow park, pitting one skier against the other in a duel to determine the best amateur riders in the region and even further afield. Its location at Stanton Park gives it perfect view-ability from the ever popular suntrap of Rendl Beach (the top of the main Rendl Gondola), giving you a chance to kickback with a drink and enjoy the spectacle and maybe work on a tan at the same time.
