St Anton Snow Report, 12 Mar 2010

St Anton ValleyThe snow depth is 240 cm at the top of Valluga and  70 cm on the local Arlberg slopes.

The recent snowfall has added to the already excellent skiing conditions in St Anton.

The warmer weather has also kept the snow fresh and powdery.

Fantastic skiing can be found all over the St Anton and the Arlberg region. Perhaps some of the best snow and conditions can be found on the Rendl Mountain. There are excellent pisted runs and also some fantastic off piste as well.

Perhaps in the afternoon consider the Schindlergratbahn.  Once at the top there is a great piste running all the way down into Stuben. This is a firm favourite as it consists of great piste and fun off piste.

Blue skies with the occasional cloud can be expected for the next couple of days in St Anton. This is due to be followed by light snow showers on Sunday.

This Sunday sees the annual snow volley ball competition on Rendl beach. 20 teams will fight it out in the snow, there is also live music and cocktails available for those people off to watch.

Also this week in the neighbouring town of Lech, golfing enthusiasts can look forward to a very special highlight. A golf course – constructed especially for this weekend – invites everyone to an extraordinary golfing adventure on ice and snow. Whoever manages to hit a hole-in-one will be rewarded with a brand-new Mercedes Benz.
