St Anton Snow Report 09/04/2013

Here is the latest snow report from our team in St Anton

There is 230cm of snow at the top of the St Anton ski area with 10cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was on 8th April with around 11cm falling.

There are 100% of pistes open in the St Anton ski area with 100% ski lifts open.

Snow showers expected over the next few days, but the sun is making an appearance in between showers ensuring good visibility. Temperature is remaining mild and the wild chill low, roughly -3 degrees.

It looks to be one of the best days of skiing yet. St Anton had a heavy dump of snow through the night, coupling that with the blue skies this morning will make it one amazing day for skiers and snowboarders. All the runs are open, and the base layer of snow is still solid and good to ski on. The temperature is warming up as well at a very comfortable -2 degrees, ensuring the snow doesn’t melt but that its warm enough to ski with few layers. Wind chill is light. Make sure you wear lots of sun cream and keep hydrated!

We have a mini festival in resort this week! On Saturday 13th April the radio station ‘Ö3’ are holding the ‘Ö3-PistenBully’. DJ-Kanzel will start his set at 10 am by the Gampenbahn mountain station with best music to kick start your skiing day. From 7 pm on you’ll find the Ö3-PistenBully by the Rendlbahn valley station for all Apres Ski Fans. An event not to be missed!!
