St Anton Snow Report, 04 Jan 2011
Resort level: 60cm
The sun has come out from hiding for some fantastic conditions this week. 2011 looks set to bring us an amazing time on the slopes, with blue bird skies forecast this week as well as a chance of snow. St. Anton is truly enjoying a fantastic start to the year. The snow cannons are always hard at work ensuring each day there is a fresh top cover. Comfortably low temperatures over the next few days look set to ensure that the conditions stay just as great.
One particular area that is a must-ski is the white ring which is a ski route that tours around Lech and Zurs. The easily accessible route will take you on a number of red and blue run options, with lots of off piste opportunities. This is a great day out and there are plenty of places to stop off for a hot chocolate or gluvine to recharge those batteries. At the mountain station of the Rufikopf cable car, the white ring monument points the way to the unique viewing platform with a wonderful view over the surrounding mountain countryside and the complete white ring.
Today and Tomorrow: Sun! Sun! Sun! With lows of -14°C
Thursday: Clear with a chance of snowfall.
