Here is the latest snow report from our team in Solden
There is 256cm of snow at the top of the Solden ski area with 25cm in resort. There is an expected snowfall of around 3cm for today.
All the ski runs are open in Solden with 29 of the 33 ski lifts also open
The clouds will start creeping in, despite the wall-to-wall sunshine this morning, bringing light snow in the afternoon. It will be bright tomorrow morning, but snow clouds will be lingering and will thicken up into the evening – being heaviest Saturday night. It will ease off into Sunday, with only light snow showers forecast, and will brighten up into next week with the sun fighting against the clouds once more. Temperatures will be staying very low, with on average minus 10 to 12 degrees Celsius at the mid-station today and lows of minus 19 up on the glacier! It will stay cold over the weekend and temperatures will rise early next week a good 10 degrees.
Head out early to get the freshly groomed pistes, as it’s being busying up due to half term week. This is making the snow suffer slightly, with some icy patched appearing and some moguls forming on the home runs and main runs from Giggijoch to Gaislachkogl in the afternoon. The freshest snow is always on the glacier, so head up there for almost perfect snow quality! It’s very cold, though, so make sure you wrap up warm!!
Chart topping, German DJ duo, The Disco Boys, will be getting the Giggijoch
Party started today from 1pm until 4:30pm. As it’s free with your lift pass, there’s no excuse not to join in – as part of the Electric Mountain Festival, it’s been heavily anticipated – it’s definitely the place to be and will be attracting crowds from all over the Oetztal valley!!
If you haven’t had enough of electro-house music, then head out later on this evening to Katapult where they have their weekly ‘Tech & Dance’ night with guest DJs, performing artists, show dancing and a visual show!
