Solden Snow Report 15/03/2013
Here is the latest snow report from our team in Solden
There is 250cm of snow at the top of the Solden ski area with 20cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was on 15th March with around 2cm falling.
There are 100% of pistes open in the Solden ski area with 29 out of 35 ski lifts open.
The clouds are bringing some light snow today which will ease off into tomorrow morning to make way for glorious sunshine! The cold wind will drop by tomorrow as well, and the temperatures are rising by a good 5 degrees Celsius. Sunday and Monday are bringing more snow with it heaviest on Monday afternoon. The wind is picking up again, but the temperatures are to stay rather milder than it has been the past couple of days, with highs of minus 4 on Monday.
The fresh dusting of snow has formed a layer of powder on the slopes, which, due to the lack of snow, were becoming quite hard packed and icy. Head up high to the glacier where the snow is softest and there is still powder for off-pisting. The swirling winds around at the moment are making it feel a good 10 degrees colder, so wrap up warm!
Once a month the Electric Mountain Festival bring you special DJs, and this afternoon it’s Lexy & K-Paul who are taking to the Turntables! The Berlin duo will be playing a mixture of techo and Electric house and with the price included in your lift pass, and music from 1pm until 4:30pm, you should definitely pop by to see what The fuss is about!
If that has got you in the mood for house music then don’t miss Out on Katapult’s ‘Tech & Dance’ night – last time the big DJs came to the Giggijoch, they made a surprise appearance at Katapult in the evening – so it’s worthwhile going just incase
