Austria has had some substantial snowfall over the past week – in some resorts snowfall has surpassed forecasts! Obergurgl, for example, was forecast 3cm of snow, received 64cm:

and is due to receive a further 66cm this week! Likewise, St. Anton is due a lot of snow this week, with 116cm forecast, however, the star of the show is Lech which is due 128cm of fresh snow! Winter has finally arrived in France, as forecasts are predicting snow for many French resorts: 67cm is due in Courchevel, 43cm in Val d’Isere, 67cm in Meribel and 68cm in Tignes.

Avoriaz had a top up over night but the heavy snow is due to fall mostly on Friday evening.
