Selva Snow Report 23 Mar 2012

Selva, ItalyUpper slope snow depth is at 100cm on the Seceda and in resort there’s 65cm.

Quiet slopes this week mean that there is less traffic chewing up the snow in the freeze/thaw spring conditions. Higher runs such as The Hidden Valley, Marmolada and the northern slopes around Arabba all maintain excellent snow conditions. Another area of note at this time is the Belvedere bowl where you can find excellent cruising on the blue slopes. Don’t forget to try your hand at some silly stunts on the airbag as well!

When you come out, take advantage of the two away days we offer. The first is a chance to get a coach out to The Hidden Valley early doors and ski back. The second is a chance to use your Dolomiti Superski Pass in the area of Cortina. Deserted slopes and north facing slopes make for some beautiful skiing conditions despite the warmer spring conditions. A real treat for all enthusiasts.

Weather forecast for next 3 days is mostly dry with a chance of snow on Saturday. Temperatures dropping to -7 on Tuesday night.

We have the Freestyle Ski School of Selva giving one of the last ski-show displays on Monday 26th March. Get along to celebrate my birthday with glühwein, amazing jumps and a full on fire-display. This promises to be a real treat!
