Selva Snow Report 20 Mar 2012

Selva, Italy A fresh 7cm fell yesterday brightening up the area and bringing the upper slopes to a depth of 100cm and resort runs to 65cm.

With the fresh snow that fell yesterday and through the night we are blessed again with some fresh powdery snow to play with. Areas at high altitude such as Seceda, Marmalada and top of Dantercepies received the best of the fluffy snow. Plan de Gralba was also superb yesterday with less crowds so there were no lumps and bumps to navigate.

A combination of fresh powder and beautiful clear blue skies have made us staff and all our guests so very excited to rush out to the slopes today!

Weather forecast for next 3 days is for mostly dry days with temperatures dropping to -12 on Tuesday night.  Some clouds on Wednesday morning clearing up for the afternoon. Clear blue skies expected for Thursday.

Wednesday night brings us the final game of the play offs for local Ice Hockey team HC Gherdeina. The game starts at 8.30pm at the Pranives stadium, gluwien is available to keep you warm whilst watching the match!

On Thursday we will be heading over to Cinque Torri, which literally translates to ‘Five Towers’ for an early morning ski under the dramatic rock formation. Then we will be heading over to the prestigious Cortina for the day.

Cortina is known for its ski ranges, scenery, shops and fur coats! It is well worth a visit if you are over in the Dolomites.
