Selva snow report 18.01.2013

Here is the latest snow report from our team in Selva

The Snow depth at the top of the Val Gardena ski area is 110cm and in resort the depth is 35cm

Heavy snow just keeps falling in Selva Val Gardena! Around 95% of runs are open and all lifts are open with no closures mentioned at all within close proximity to Selva.

Snow fell for 4 days at the start of the week with our first clear day yesterday. Powder is being reported on all lower and upper slopes in the local area, proving idyllic conditions for both skiers and boarders. All the ski trails into town are open allowing the slopes to take you right into the center of town. The best conditions can be found on red 2 (La Longia) over in Orties red 5 at the top of the Ciampinoi and over the back of the Dantecepies gondola heading towards Calfosco and Corvara. The Sella Ronada is boasting especially good conditions with  some powder covering your ankles. Snow is forecast for the next 3 days making Selva one of the best places to catch the powder in Italy!

Snowfall is predicted Over the weekend with blue skies predicted for  the rest of today and again on Monday. Temperatures are set to stay well below freezing at an average of -10
