Selva Snow Report, 08 Feb 2011

SelvaSnow depth at top of ski area:     150cm on the mountain
Snow depth in resort:                      60cm

Sunny blue skies continue across the Val Gardena valley, providing incredible views across the Dolomites. The weather has warmed up just recently but will fall below freezing point for the rest of this week, keeping the snow in good condition. Looking at the 6-day forecast, snow looks to be coming for the end of this week! Let the powder times roll!

Our ski away days to Cortina and the Hidden Valley continue to be a great success. The snow conditions in Cortina are slightly better due to a more recent snowfall and the slopes are empty in comparison. The Hidden Valley is one of the most stunning places I have ever skied, with tree lined mountain passes, frozen waterfalls and stunning views across the dolomites. The guests last week couldn’t have agreed more with me!

The Torchlight decent show last night was wonderful- a real hit with all our guests. There is plenty going on next week too, including another Torchlight decent, the Ice show and the Sella-Ronda Ski Marathon. Our ski away day will also continue to run each Thursday.

Looking forward to meeting you all!
