Ski Range 1,400m – 3,230m

The Méribel Ski area offers an endless variety of terrain, much of it at high altitude both on and off-piste, whilst the ski village itself is liberally sprinkled with attractive chalet-style buildings of local stone and wood and has a true village ambience. Bars, restaurants and resort facilities are first rate and along with excellent provision for families and some of the best nightlife in the Alps, Méribel has more than enough attractions to go around for everyone's ski holiday.

NIGHTLIFE & APRES SKI

Méribel is one of the liveliest ski resorts in the Alps. There’s always plenty going on for those with the energy and inclination.

Après ski at the Rond Point and The Pub are popular and there is a good choice of late night spots like Dick’s Tea Bar, La Taverne and Scotts - expect lots of British voices!

Dining out is excellent too, with ample choice on your ski chalet hosts’ one night off at popular choices like Chez Kiki or live it up at fine hotel restaurants like the Grand Coeur and La Chaudanne. Non-skiing activities are also plentiful and include swimming, ice-skating, curling and tobogganing as well as an extremely well-equipped sports centre, used in the 1992 Winter Olympics.

SKIING IN Méribel

Ski Range 1,400m – 3,230m

Now four valleys rather than three, this is a huge, state of the art system with 600 kms of varied terrain. Dawdle on flattering tree-lined slopes, attack giant bumps and steep couloirs or notch up the mileage, cruising the whole magnificent system, there is something for all skiers whatever your level when taking your skiing holidays in Méribel

Above Méribel itself is a combination of cruisy glades and open boulevards, which enjoy both morning and afternoon sun, whilst higher up on Mont Vallon, the going gets tougher, with excellent off-piste and some testing long runs.

An effortless access to Courchevel leads to immaculately groomed pistes and great restaurants above Courchevel 1850, the famous couloirs of the Saulire and the tricky bumps on Chanrossa.

Access to the Belleville valley is easy too, where Val Thorens offers endless adventure on its spectacular high altitude slopes. In sunny weather, head for the wonderful open slopes of Tougnète and swoop down to St Martin de Belleville for a relaxed lunch. Skiing on past Val Thorens, the Maurienne valley connection has added even more on and off-piste possibilities.

Méribel is also popular with snowboarders with 2012 seeing the resort matching other elite European resorts following the fabulous redesign of the Mottaret snowpark by world famous brand DC.

DC Area 43 is not to be missed with 220m of handrails, a pipe and mini skate ramp together with 4 street sections to satisfy different levels and an extra large airbag, all served by its own chairlift and dedicated cable car. The sophisticated park webcam system allows riders to capture their skills and relive the moment online.

Our fine range of ski chalets offers a choice of many of the best areas of Méribel Centre, the buzzing heart of this deservedly popular resort, set right at the hub of the ski-lifts, and offering a wide choice of shops, bars and restaurants for all tastes.
