Who is the course aimed at?
The course is aimed at skiers who are comfortable on all slopes and all snow conditions who want to progress towards off-piste skiing.
What are the group sizes?
A maximum of 6 people per instructor.
What will i do on the course?
You will start by focusing on the correct technique that is required for skiing off-piste, you will practice skiing on varying types of snow and in varying types of conditions (powder, chopped-up and icy). The course provide you with all necessary avalanche safety equipment. This includes either a ARVA or ABS backpack, probe, shovel and transceiver. Training on how to use the equipment is given on the first day.
What are the course times?3x half day sessions (usually Monday – Wednesday) Morning: 9am – 12pm or afternoon: 2pm – 5pm.
What equipment will I need?
The course will provide you with all the necessary avalanche safety equipment. This includes either a ARVA or ABS backpack, probe, shovel and transceiver. So all you will need is your own ski equipment.For more information or to book, please call to speak to our reservation team on 01483 345 760
