Obergurgl Snow Report 15/02/2013
Here is the latest snow report from our team in Obergurgl
There is 235cm of snow at the top of the Obergurgl ski area with 103cm in resort. The last snowfall was on Tuesday with 5cm of fresh snow falling.
91% of the ski runs are open in the Obergurgl ski area with all 21 ski lifts open.
Light snow fall for the rest of today, and over the weekend is then set to clear up to clear skies sunshine on Monday – what a way to start a holiday! Temperatures are around the -10 degree mark with a light wind taking the wind chill factor only a couple of degrees lower should ensure some lovely skiing conditions.
We still have some fantastic snow conditions across the resort and down into Soelden too. Some slightly warmer weather of late has made for some excellent snow conditions and the skiing has been brilliant. Even half term week hasn’t brought too many people so we are still enjoying too some very quiet slopes. Hochgurgl tends to be a bit busier but still, slopes with nobody on!!
Well sadly Lindsey Vonn, of USA ski team fame, injured herself whilst skiing over in Schladming but rumour has it Tiger Woods sent a private plane to pick her up – maybe she will bring him up the valley here to show him her training ground. That would be rather exciting!
