Val d’Isere Snow Report, 3 Apr 2012
Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012
Temperatures are warming up with the snow still in great condition with an upper base of 190cm and the home runs, at 115cm.
Its April and there is still snow everywhere! A result of a fantastic season so far… Temperatures are warming up as we move into spring, yet the snow is showing no signs of going anywhere fast. Snow conditions are still good considering the temperatures and time of year, with fantastic skiing to be had all across the ski area. Anyone visiting the Espace Killy in the near future should try the excellent blue run “Henri” over on the Tignes side of the ski area, a fantastic descent into Val Claret that boasts excellent views of the whole resort of Tignes.
More snow is forecasted, coming in scattered snow showers over the next three days, with the majority falling on Thursday evening.
The La Scara competition hits Val d’Isère, where the top 1000 young skiers from 22 countries across the globe will be competing in downhill races on the “O.K.” slope down to La Daille. Expect to see an amazing standard of skiing with some nail biting races!
