PeiseyThere is a 166cm of snow on the upper slopes such as the runs shooting off the Col De La Chal in Arc 2000. There is 45cm of snow down on the lower slopes in resort.

It last snowed on the 30/03/2011 with 5cm falling in the morning across resort.

Spring is upon us but the snow up the top of the Col De La Chal in Les Arcs is fantastic thanks to the couple of inches that fell this week. The red ‘Plagnettes’ is a challenging red run that takes you down to Arc 2000 and this has a good covering of snow and is well groomed. The Grand Col ski area is also superb with some decent powder off piste for you to explore.

Just opposite the Esprit chalets here in Peisey stands the impressive Vanoise Express which is the 200 man cable car that connects with the La Plagne. At the top of the Roche De Mio you can access the Bellecote glacier or explore the network of runs that takes you down to Champagny and Belle Plagne. The red ‘Inversens’ run is an excellent ski. The steep natural piste has fantastic snow and is a real pleasure to zoom down.

Closer to home you can enjoy the red ‘belette’ which shoots you down from the top of the Derby chairlift to the town of Vallandry. The blue ‘Renard’ run which comes across the Aiguille Grive mountain face towards Peisey is a nice wide blue slope that is ideal for beginners to practice on.

Sunshine and blue skies are forecasted for the next few days. A bright start to next week will allow for fantastic visibilityon the slopes. Perfect conditions for the children to enjoy the lessons and ideal for all to explore the upper slopes of the Paradiski.

On Thursday, the children have the opportunity to have a kids-only supervised meal up on the mountain restaurant ‘La Cordee’. With a choice of burgers, hot dogs, pizzas and chips – followed by a serving of ice cream, this is not one to be missed! Eat up and bum board back down the mountain equipped with head torches!

PeiseyThere is 165cm of snow on the upper slopes such as the runs shooting off the Col De La Chal in Arc 2000. There is 50cm of snow down on the lower slopes in resort.

It last snowed on 28/03/2011 with 3cm falling in the morning across resort.

All the runs in resort are in fantastic condition thanks to the new snow that fell yesterday across resort. The runs above 1800m altitude are in the best condition as they have a good covering of snow and despite being spring, these runs maintain their good form throughout the day.
In Peisey the slopes are well groomed which makes skiing down the pistes like the blue ‘Grive’ and the red ‘bellette’ a joy. Further a field in Les Arcs you can experience the thrill of zooming down the red ‘Arandeliers’ run which starts at the bottom of the Aiguille Rouge glacier and brings you nicely into Arc 200 and the picturesque resort of Arc 1950. From there explore the whole area such as the Grand Col and it’s popular off piste areas or cruise the blue ‘Arpette’ to the Apocalpyse snow park or the water slide and try your hand at something really exciting.
The forecast for the rest of this week is looking pretty promising. We have snow forecasted to fall in Les Arcs this afternoon and set to continue into the night and tomorrow morning. More weather is due on Thursday so we are expecting the slopes to get a boost of snow later in the week as well. The weekend is forecasted to clear up with blue skies and sunshine.

Thursdays are busy days here in Peisey. You can get up at the crack of dawn and ski the ‘First Tracks’ of the day. Shoot up the mountain before the lifts open, eat breakfast at snow patrol HQ and then ski the untouched slopes in the morning before anyone else. On Thursday you can send your children to ‘Sprite Night’ which is a new event for this season. High tea on Thursday will be a supervised dinner party up on the mountain restaurant ‘La Cordee’ where they can enjoy a choice of pizza, burgers, and chips and then bumboard back down the slopes. In the evening the adults can enjoy the live band and Hog Roast at the Mont Blanc Bar in Vallandry. ‘Wille and the Bandits’ returning from their music tour with Status Quo are playing a live music set! Definitely worth checking out.

Moderate snowfall is expected to fall on Sunday evening at high altitude. This new snowfall falling across Les Arcs is perfect timing for next week’s arrivals. One can expect mild temperatures during the day time and especially down in Peisey Vallandry as we have been enjoying blue skies and sunshine for the past few days.

The upper slopes of Peisey-Vallandry and beyond are holding up well with a great covering of snow. The slopes are well groomed which makes skiing down the pistes like the blue ‘Grive’ and the red ‘Bellette’ a joy.

Further a field in Les Arcs you can experience the thrill of zooming down the red ‘Arandeliers’ run which starts at the bottom of the Aiguille Rouge glacier and brings you nicely into Arc 200 and the picturesque resort of Arc 1950. From there explore the whole area such as the Grand Col and it’s popular off piste areas or cruise the blue ‘Arpette’ to the Apocalpyse snow park or the water slide and try your hand at something really exciting.
The forecast for the rest of this week is blue skies and plenty of sunshine. Spring is now upon us so remember to bring suncream. Temperatures will be mild and wind speeds generally light.

Couple SkingThere is a 164cm of snow on the upper slopes such as the runs shooting off the Col De La Chal in Arc 2000. There is 58cm of snow down on the lower slopes in resort.

Up high the slopes are fantastic. The upper runs on the Aiguille Grive in Peisey or the Col De La Chal in Les Arcs had a fresh inch of snow this week. The runs are beautifully covered, firm and well groomed making them a joy to zoom down. The blue ‘renard’ run brings you from the top of the 8 man express Derby lift across the Grive mountain face and down into Peisey – and this is a great ski!

Lots of snowy weather is coming our way this week. It is due to snow 3cm tonight and continues to lightly fall across Wednesday. Moderate snowfall is forecasted for Wednesday night and is set to continue into Thursday and Friday.

There are lots of things going on in resort this week. Night skiing is happening on Thursday, so while the children enjoy their night out at Sprite Night, everyone else can try their hand at some night skiing over on the blue ‘Poney’ run.

SkierThere is a 166cm of snow on the upper slopes such as the runs shooting off the Col De La Chal in Arc 2000. There is 63cm of snow down on the lower slopes in resort.

The Paradiski is fantastic this week as the whole domain enjoyed a good dump on snow last weekend. The pistes are holding up well being well groomed and well packed.  Cruise down the blue ‘Grand Melezes’ run from the top of Arc 1800 down to the resort. The wide, calm blue run is a great run to start on first thing in the morning. The red ‘bellette’ from the top of the Derby chiarlift that shoots you down towards Vallandry is in fine form. The steep tree run has a good covering of snow and really gets the adrenaline pumping.

Further a field in Les Arcs you will also find some great runs. The red ‘Arandeliers’ run from the halfway point on the Aiguille Rouge glacier is a steep and wide run that brings you nicely into Arc 2000 and Arc 1950. The run, well groomed and with great snow, is there for all to zoom down! Catch sight of the sunny resort of La Rosiere across the valley as you ski on down to Arc 1950. Or enjoy the meandering blue ‘Plan des Eaux’ from the top of the Col De La Chal summit which brings you smoothly into the heart of the Les Arcs ski domain.

The weather outlook is looking very promising. We are expecting this sunshine to last until Saturday where we are expecting snow to fall across the weekend. Just in time for next week’s arrivals.

On Thursday, the children have the opportunity to have a kids-only supervised meal up on the mountain restaurant ‘La Cordee’. With a choice of burgers, hot dogs, pizzas and chips – followed by a serving of ice cream, this is not one to be missed! Eat up and bum board back down the mountain equipped with head torches!

SkierThere is a 168cm of snow on the upper slopes such as the runs shooting off the Col De La Chal in Arc 2000. There is 63cm of snow down on the lower slopes in resort.

The condition of the pistes are excellent this week. The snowfall that fell last weekend has lasted superbly layering the runs with a good foundation of snow. The red ‘Belette’ from the top of the Derby chairlift is a fantastic tree run that shoots you back down towards Vallandry.

For the less adventurous skiers then the blue ‘Renard’ run will bring you along the Aiguille Grive mountain face and into the top of the Peisey ski area.

Further a field in Les Arcs you can experience the thrill of zooming down the red ‘Arandeliers’ run which starts at the bottom of the Aiguille Rouge glacier and brings you nicely into Arc 200 and the picturesque resort of Arc 1950. From there explore the whole area such as the Grand Col and it’s popular off piste areas or cruise the blue ‘Arpette’ to the Apocalpyse snow park or the water slide and try your hand at something really exciting.

The weather for this week is pretty clear. Blue skies and sunshine for the rest of the week although snow is forecasted for Saturday evening. Fingers crossed!

There’s lots of things going on in resort this week. Night skiing is happening on Thursday, so while the children enjoy their night out at Sprite Night, everyone else can try their hand at some night skiing over on the blue ‘Poney’ run. You can also try the Yooner which is a crazy looking sledge which really is a lot of fun!

PeiseyThere is a 172cm of snow on the upper slopes such as the runs shooting off the Col De La Chal in Arc 2000. There is 65cm of snow down on the lower slopes in resort.

The snow conditions are fantastic with all the reds being in the best condition so far this year! The big dump of snow we had at the weekend has boosted the snow on the pistes making them a pleasure to ski down. The red ‘Belette’ from the top of the Derby lift that brings you nicely down to the town of Vallandry is particularly good condition. The steep yet well covered run through the trees is a really good ski this week. Talking of tree runs, the blue ‘La Foret’ that weaves it’s way through the snow covered forest is also in fantastic condition.

Further a field in Les Arcs you will also find some great runs. The red ‘Arandeliers’ run from the halfway point on the Aiguille Rouge glacier is a steep and wide run that brings you nicely into Arc 2000 and Arc 1950. The run, well groomed and with great snow, is there for all to zoom down! Catch sight of the sunny resort of La Rosiere across the valley as you ski on down to Arc 1950.

The weather forecast for the next few days is looking very promising indeed. With a mixture of sunshine, blue skies and light snowfall predicted for the rest of the week. Temperatures should be just below freezing preserving this fantastic snow ready for next week’s guests. All in all great snow and sunshine here in Peisey which will make for one of the best weeks of the season.

This Wednesday sess the X SPEED Tour come to Peisey. A specially designed drag strip will be set up out on the top Peisey slope. Here skiiers get the chance to test their speed with speed cameras and specially designed speed skis. This event is being hosted by speed skiier world record holder – Xavier Cousseau.

PeiseyThere is a 155cm of snow on the upper slopes such as the runs shooting off the Col De La Chal in Arc 2000. There is 55cm of snow down on the lower slopes in resort.

It last snowed yesterday 24/02/2011 with 5cm falling in the morning across resort. Although a big dump is expected to fall at the weekend.

All the runs in the Paradiski are in fine form today as the recent snowfall has really improved snow conditions on and off piste. The pistes are fantastic with a good helping of snow from top to bottom. Cruise down the blue ‘renard’ run from the top of the Derby chairlift and connect with the La Foret forest run that brings you back to Peisey. The red ‘bellette’ run that also shots you down from the top of the Derby lift into Vallandry is a far more adventurous route to take. The piste is steep although well groomed allowing for some controlled speed down into the trees. The off piste around this area is now ready to be explored and you won’t have any trouble finding that powder in and amongst the trees or out on the snowy plains.

Further a field in Les Arcs you will also find some great runs. The red ‘Arandeliers’ run from the halfway point on the Aiguille Rouge glacier is a steep and wide run that brings you nicely into Arc 2000 and Arc 1950. The run, well groomed and with great snow, is there for all to zoom down! Catch sight of the sunny resort of La Rosiere across the valley as you ski on down to Arc 1950.

The weather outlook is looking very promising.  We are expecting light snow fall during the day on Saturday with 10cm expected to dump on Saturday night. Continuing to fall lightly throughout Sunday and into Monday it would be safe to say that a lot of snow is coming are way with at least 15cm forecasted to fall this weekend. Perfect timing for next week’s quests.

Sprite Night continues to be a massive success in Peisey. On Thursday, the children have the opportunity to have a kids-only supervised meal up on the mountain restaurant ‘La Cordee’. PeiseyThere is 150cm of snow on the upper slopes of the Aiguille Rouge in Les Arcs.

There is 55cm of snow on the lower slopes in Peisey – Vallandry.

The most recent major snowfall was 3cm on 16/02/2011.

The light snowfall that fell earlier this week has really improved piste conditions across the whole ski area. Before, the pistes were great but now they are fantastic with well groomed pistes with that dusting of fresh snow allowing for all abilities of skiier to enjoy the different red and blue runs in Peisey. The blue ‘renard’ run that takes you from the top of Le Derby chairlift and shoots you across the Aiguille Grive mountain face back down to Peisey is one of the best runs in the Paradiski. Start off enjoying the wide and open slope whilst testing yourself on the challenging jumps and gullies that you can find off piste. Then, hit the tree line and zoom down the forest run back down to resort.

Across the valley and the new and impressive Vanoise Express cable car, the snow is also holding up well with the top of the Roche De Mio in La Plagne having the best runs. The red ‘Inversens’ is the pick of the bunch with its great snow and its naturally testing terrain it’s sure worth the day trip over to the other side of the Paradiski.

The forecast is looking promising for next week. We are expecting 6 cm to fall this weekend which will the skiing extremely enjoyable with the improving snow conditions. Follow that with glorious sunshine and blue skies on Monday and Tuesday and you’ve got yourself a perfect week’s skiing.

‘Sprite Night’ which is a new Esprit event for this season will be happening on Thursday. This is one just for the children as high tea will be in the mountain restaurant ‘La Cordee’. Enjoy a menu of burgers, pizzas and chips and then bum board back down the slope afterwards!!
