New and ‘Must Trys’ in Val d’Isère
There’s so much to look forward to in Val d’Isère this coming season. Check out what you can experience in 2015/16:
1. Michelin starred restaurant: L’Atelier d’Edmond
You’ll find L’Atelier d’Edmond opposite the cable-car at Le Fornet. This stunning restaurant is one of only 80 in France to be awarded two Michelin stars for its original cuisine presided over by chef Benoit Vidal. Perfect for a special meal out for guests staying in our Le Fornet chalets; Du Fornet, Bandire, Pomme de Pin, Bonnevie, Bonneval, Ecureuil and Lo Soli.
Visit the restaurant website, here.
2. Dog Sledding
Experience a real taste of the far North on a dog sled ride. A wonderful activity for all the family, dog sledding allows everyone to discover these beautiful animals who love the cold and the snow.
The Ski Gallery & Fondue Factory replaces La Perdrix Blanche. Serving traditional Savoyard specialities, grills and salads, along with a ‘salon de thé’, it’s part of a new leisure and dining complex that also houses a permanent display of over 1000 skis from the 19th century to the present day. A must-visit!
4. Better snow-making machines
The snow-making facility has been improved to provide Val d’Isère with guaranteed snow-cover throughout the season. The Snow Factory which benefitted from an investment of €3 million, is the largest snowmaking facility in Europe and can pump out sufficient snow to fill an Olympic-sized swimming-pool in 30 minutes!
5. New App
Our friends at www.valdisere.com are launching a new mobile app for the coming season, bought to you by some of the best developers in the world. This definitive resort app will have constantly evolving content, adapted for each user. Stay tuned to our Facebook page to know when it’s launched, and be one of the first to download it.
What are you looking forward to most?!
