Meribel Snow Report 22/03/2013

Here is the latest snow report from our team in Meribel

There is 247cm of snow at the top of the Meribel ski area with 130cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was on  21st March with around 3cm falling.

There are 95% of pistes open in the Meribel ski area with 89% ski lifts open.

Today: A slightly warmer day, 3 degrees maximum temperature with patchy cloud.

Saturday: 2cm more of snow expected with a maximum temperature of 0 degrees

Sunday: A whopping 8cm of snow expected with things getting a little colder with a max of -1 degrees.

With the massively appreciated dump of snow, the ski conditions are perfect, with fresh powder to make tracks in off piste still and plenty of snow for the slopes to be groomed for carving.

The staff were buzzing yesterday with the talk of how good the X games was in Tignes and also how good the comedy night was in the Meribar. The comics had the crowd (myself included) in absolute hysterics. We had a great turn out for the bar crawl this week also, making our way through town to all the favorite haunts. The Scratch Perverts, a popular music mixing group, were in Dicks Tea Bar last night and had a great turn out. The group did a fantastic set and fun was had by all!
