The snow depth at the top of the ski area in Meribel is 225cm and in resort there is 129cm on the home runs. It last snowed on 19/02/2013 with 15cm.
95% of the pistes are open in Meribel with 40 of the 42 ski lifts open.
The forecast today was for beautiful blue sky day with maximum temperatures reaching -3 degrees On Wednesday we will see another blue sky day with temperatures reaching a colder maximum temperature of -4 degrees. Thursday will be partially cloudy with maximum temperatures reaching a freezing -9 degrees.
The ski conditions at the moment are absolutely perfect, with the sun beating down on the mountains and sun cream being passed around the population of Meribel, everyone is hitting the slopes for the immaculate powder and wonderfully pisted slopes.
Resort is bathed in a glorious sunlight throughout the week, which makes guests and seasonnaires as happy as can be. With the main Chaudanne area being prepared for the womens’ downhill racing in the next few days, the buzz of excitement is palpable. Half term means the resort is busier than it has been since Christmas and New Years, and the pub owners and restaurateurs are more than happy to accommodate the multitude of people providing the best service as always. Meribel is truly the place to be at the moment for the full ski experience.
