You can tell how great the skiing is by the crunch and spring of the snow; even walking over it is a pleasure, let alone skiing. This weather really bodes well for the lead up to Christmas and New Years, giving Meribel a good starting point for the season.

The lifts in Meribel opened on the 8th of December and the runs and lifts which have been open have been used to death by the avid boarders and skiers flocking to the slopes. This will be a product of everyone watching the huge snowfall for days on end before the first lift opened. Meribel has been blessed this year with some of the best possible start of the season snow as a ski resort can get. The town centre has finished all the work needed in preparation for guests and looks simply iconic as a beautiful mountain town. With the Christmas lights already glistening like diamonds in the snow and the assorted bars and shops alive with the buzz of customers and talk of the fantastic skiing, Meribel is truly the place to be in the French Alps this season.
