Meribel snow report 08/02/2013
Here is the latest snow report from our team in Meribel
The snow depth at the top of the ski area at Meribel is 255cm and in resort there is 135cm on the home runs. It last snowed on 07/02/2013 with 20cm.
Ski conditions at the moment are absolutely amazing. It has been snowing non stop for 3 days and today the cloud has left the valley, the sun out bathing the fresh powder and the immaculately pisted slopes in warm sunlight. Off piste and on piste skiers should have a fantastic time today and for all boarders out there I don’t think we could have better snow in store for you!
The weather over the next few days is due to be: Today: It is going to be a cold few days that’s for sure. Today brings us maximum temperatures of -14 degrees without wind chill, so wrapping up especially if skiing or boarding at high altitude is advised.
Saturday: Even colder than today with temperatures reaching a maximum of -15 degrees.
Sunday: Believe it or not more snow is expected on Sunday with a dump of 6cm. Temperatures a little warmer, hitting around -8 degrees.
The weather today has got everyone in resort extremely excited and anxious to be the first to put their ski tracks through the fresh champagne powder and freshly pisted snow. With a massive snowfall over the last 3 days of around 40cm the snow and sun are working together to create a near enough perfect day of skiing. The street party last night was epic with locals and guests alike flocking to the town centre to share a vin chaud and listen to some excellent live music. Tonight everyone should be in high spirits as if they haven’t had a good days skiing there is nothing else we or the weather could do more to help.
