There are 95% of pistes open in the Meribel ski area with 40 out of 42 ski lifts open.
Today: Patchy cloud but mainly sunny with temperatures hitting a max of -1 degrees
Tomorrow: Another blue sky day, although a little warmer with temperatures reaching a maximum of 1 degree.
Sunday: Exactly the same as Saturday, with 1 degree as the max temperature.
The snow with the sun this week has softened to perfection allowing on piste skiers an absolute delight in terms of their turning. Off piste is still bountiful, with 206cm still at the top of resort, powder can be found.
This week we have seen the slalom and television crews from all over different countries in Meribel. It has been truly sensational watching, with skiers careering down the mountain at copious speed and the hubbub and anticipation that has surrounded it this week. Last nights town centre ‘street party’ went off with a bang with Vin Chaud on tap and fireworks being let off, it was truly a night for guests to remember! As if the great skiing wasn’t enough this week, Meribel provided more than enough for people to get involved with. Next week is the start of the Easter rush, and resort representatives, hosts and the pistes cannot wait for the guests to arrive!
