With some still virgin powder for off pisters and the runs pisted so well, there is great skiing for all abilities and interests.
Happy New Year from Meribel! Last night was absolutely amazing, the Chaudanne was completely transformed from a ski meeting area an immaculate stage and lighting system. The whole resort migrated to the Chaudanne at 6:30 where ESF put on a fantastic torch lit decent from Motteray, snaking their way down the mountain with untold grace. After this amazing display their was a fantastic fireworks display lighting up the mountain and the piste with vivid greens purples reds and whites. At 10pm the festivities really kicked into 5th gear however, as the DJ warmed up his decks and the Meribar started to lubricate the affair. The countdown to midnight was absolutely electric, with the whole resort screaming out the 10 seconds to midnight in unison. The resort kept pumping until the small hours of the morning and Meribel really saw in 2013 with a bang, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else this year but Meribel!
