Les Gets snow report 22.01.2013
Here is the latest snow report from our team in Les Gets
We’ve got 200cm of snow at the top of Les Gets, and it’s nice and fresh after the snowfall last night. Down in resort we still have 85cm of snow, plenty of snow for the snowball tournament in resort this afternoon at 2:30. The last snowfall was yesterday, 21/01/13. It snowed for the majority of the day, and most of the night so the powder on the slopes is nice and fresh.
All of the 69 runs in resort are open to be skied today. There are still only 49 out of the 51 lifts in resort open. The Grand Cry drag lift and the Mouille aux Chats are still not open.
We’ll have highs of -3 over the next few days and lows of -23, with a wind chill of -28. It’s going to be clear today, with some light snow showers and clouds over the next few days.
The recent snowfall in resort means that the snow conditions in Les Gets are absolutely fantastic at the moment. Mont Chery is always at it’s best when covered in fresh powder, so head up there first thing this morning, before anyone else gets there. The runs down in the Les Gets bowl have been excellent over the past few days, especially those with quite a wide girth. The skies are going to be clear for the majority of the day so visibility will be perfect. Most of the runs today will bring the more keen skiers out there an obscene amount of pleasure.
We have a snowball tournament in resort today at snowline from 2:30 until 6:30. There is also a guided tour of the Irish bars brewery tonight from 9:00.
