Les Gets Snow Report 12/03/2013
Here is the latest snow report from our team in Les Gets
There is 200cm of snow at the top of the Les Gets ski area with 80cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was on 11th March with around 16cm falling.
There are 115km of pistes open in the Les Gets ski area with 100% ski lifts open.
We’re expecting snow for the next few days with light snow showers today, tomorrow and Thursday. Temperatures are going to drop down to -13 on Thursday, although they’ll be as high as 0 degrees before then.
The recent snow fall means that the powder on the mountains is nice a fresh. Piste bashers have been out in force and working their hardest to ensure the slopes are in perfect condition. Mont Chery is at it’s best early in the morning, so head up there fr first lifts. if you like trying your hand at some moguls, watch out for some springing up on the slopes in the afternoon, although they are easily avoidable if they’re not your thing. there are going to be a few clear skies in the next couple of days so don’t forget your camera if you’re heading up ranfolly, Nyon or Mont Chery as the views will be excellent.
There’s plenty going on in resort this week. We’ve got live music on Wednesday and Thursday. Colin’s weekly tour of his brewery at the Irish tonight. An apres ski bar crawl this afternoon and then Chinese lanterns this evening.
