Les Gets Snow Report, 09 March 2010

Chalet l'Hermine, Let GetsAt the highest point of Les Gets (2002m) there is currently 150cm of snow.

The amount of snow at 1172m is 75cm.

The conditions this week have been amazing so far.  Yesterday the weather was fantastic with clear skies and bright sunshine all day.  The temperatures this week are getting lower (averaging -10), meaning the snow is being kept in wonderful condition….make sure you wrap up well on the slopes!

A particularly enjoyable run was Rein De Pres that is a lovely long blue run from the top of La Rosta.  There is also a great restaurant at the top with amazing views, perfect for a clear sunny day.

The weather over the next three days is set to bring a mixture of sunshine and snow.  Today it is currently sunny in resort; the sunshine is set to continue all morning moving way to snow showers this afternoon.  Light snow is due to fall all day on Wednesday with a total of 2cm and temperatures dropping to -12 in the evening.  Thursday morning will bring sunshine and cloud, and snow in the afternoon with a total of 2cm.  More snow is due later in the week with 2cm forecast on Friday and a further 3cm on Saturday.
