Les Gets Snow Report 08/03/2013
Here is the latest snow report from our team in Les Gets
There is 240cm of snow at the top of the Les Gets ski area with 100cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was on 22nd Feb with around 5cm falling.
There are 115km of pistes open in the Les Gets ski area with 100% ski lifts open.
There is going to be a little bit of light rain fall in the next few days, however the weather gets slightly colder towards the middle of the week, meaning that the rain will start to turn into snow again. Until then the weathers going to remain fairly warm with temperatures between 0 and 3 degrees.
Piste bashers have been working really hard to keep the slopes in excellent condition for us. Up high the conditions are at their best, and there’s even been a little bit of snowfall up there, so Chamossier and Nyon will have some great skiing. For those of you who like moguls, there tends to be a few lumps and bumps around at the sides of the piste in the afternoons. Although if you want to avoid these the centre of the pistes remain good. It’s fairly quite at the minute so no need to worry about too many people rushing down the mountains, or queues at the lifts. The Milka cow has been seen out and about on the Milka run recently. Views up on Mont Chery have been great recently, so head up there and get some snaps.
We’ve got the usual treasure hunt on the Grand cry ski runt today. We also have a snowball tournament in resort. And rumour has it that Jack Dee has been spotted out and about in resort this week.
