Les Gets Snow Report 05/04/2013

Here is the latest snow report from our team in Les Gets

There is 190cm of snow at the top of the Les Gets ski area with 65cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was on  31st March with around 13cm falling.

There are 79% of pistes open in the Les Gets ski area with 80% ski lifts open.

It’s staying fairly warm at the moment with temperatures between -2 and 2 degrees. It’s going to be slightly cloudy over the next two days, but this means there will be some light snow showers. Sundays going to be mostly clear, meaning we’ll be getting some sun.

Snow is still really good on the mountains. It’s nice and soft and really good and fast to ski on all day. The piste bashers have been working really hard out here lately to keep our pistes in great condition, so they’re mostly nice and flat, with the exception of the black specific mogul runs such as the Yeti and Myrtilles. The Les Gets bowl is in great condition at the moment, the Perrieres has been really quiet and the video park slalom is really fun to ski.

The 8th and finale edition of the Ebouelle contest started yesterday with the amateur qualifying  rounds. It continues today and tomorrow with more freestyle skiing as well as the art contests in resort. The highlight will be on Saturday night when the contestants complete the road gap jump.
