Les Deux Alpes Snow Report 02/03/2015

Yikes, a little bit soggy down in the resort this weekend. We have plenty falling from the ski at the moment, but unfortunately as temperatures are averaging zero at resort level it is falling as rain here. But of course this is fresh snow up on the mountain, which of course equals fresh power!! It is also a little windy up top this week which means the higher lifts may be closed. But the Les Deux Alpes ski patrol team are fully committed to keeping as much of the mountain open where possible. Le Crete and the Valle Blanche side have both been open today during strong winds, which means you can still ski to your hearts content – just dont forget to wear your thermals as it could be a bit nippy 🙂

Forecast: Temperatures should be dipping below zero once again at resort level from tomorrow onwards, which means no more cheeky rain and back to snow! But of course anything falling up the mountain is of the fluffy variety so skiing conditions remain excellent up high. It is looking a touch windy this week, so skiing may be restricted to the lower runs but conditions on these should be good. The sun looks like it will be making an appearance towards the end of the week, so this week sees a good mix of all types of weather!!
