Les Arcs Snow Report, 30 Mar 2010
The snow depth is 190cm at Aiguille Rouge at 3300m and 100cm at 2000m. Following the snowfall over the weekend the conditions have been topped back up to the levels that have been present almost all season.
Plenty of snow has returned to the pistes, which are now groomed to perfection. Even the off piste levels have been replenished remarkably well. With more snow forecast this week the skiing conditions for the rest of the season look like they will remain extremely strong.
A moderate to heavy snow fall is forecast for the next few days, with the largest dump coming on Wednesday night. Thursday is due to be a clear sunny day so the words ‘powder day’ will instantly be springing to the minds of every off piste enthusiast.
The water slide next to the Altiport restaurant has continued to be the talk of Les Arcs. Many choose to just sit by the water and chill out watching (and praying) that some unfortunate sole will stack their attempt. Despite this more and more skiers and boarders are giving it a go, providing great entertainment for all.
