Les Arcs snow report 28.12.2012

Here is the latest snow report from our team in Les Arcs

The snow at the top of the Les Arcs ski area is sitting at 268cm and down in resort there is 98cm. The last snowfall was yesterday when 20cm came down.

The forecast for the next 3 days is Friday: Highs of -4°C and lows of -11°C clear and sunny, Saturday: Highs of -1°C and lows of -13°C clear and sunny, Sunday: Highs of -5°C and lows of -15°C dusting of new snow (1cm expected).

It’s a powder day in Les Arcs today, with 20cm falling overnight.  The piste conditions at the moment are fantastic, with the best skiing to be had at the top of the Les Arcs area.  The Varet chair lift is providing some excellent runs with which to take advantage of the fresh snow conditions.  The Col de la Chal and Vallee de l’Arc runs are both enjoying fantastic conditions on piste.

The weather outlook for Les Arcs over the next week is looking great, with clear skies and sun forecast well into the new year which should make for a smashing start to 2013.  A dusting of new snow at night during this period will keep the pistes fresh and in pristine conditions.  As we bid farewell to 2012 and raise a glass to 2013, this seasons looks set to keep delivering on its already fantastic start.
