Les Arcs Snow Report 15/03/2013
Here is the latest snow report from our team in Les Arcs
There is 230cm of snow at the top of the Les Arcs ski area with 105cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was on 14th March with around 10cm falling.
There are 105 out of 107 of pistes open in the Les Arcs ski area with 50 out of 51 ski lifts open.
All skiers and snowboarders have awoken to a fresh dust of powder and beautiful bright sunshine this morning. And the last week of French half term will mean that the slopes will be much quieter in the week ahead.
With a forecast of more snow coming at the beginning of next week, the sunshine forecast this weekend will let the snow settle, to create the perfect snow conditions for the next week ahead from Les Arcs, to the tree areas of Peisey and Villaroger.
With warmer temperatures forecast next week views from the Aiguille Rouge, the resort’s highest run, will have a fantastic view of the Mont Blanc and its surrounding mountains. A lovely lunch on the slopes at La Cordée in Plan Peisey or a warming hot chocolate with cream at the lively Arpette will be on the cards for all skiers next week.
There will be a fantastic opportunities for guests to take part in the Rodeo Park sledging by the top of the Arcabulle lift, to visiting the beautiful ice sculptures in the ice grotto or take part in night skiing twice a week in Les Arcs 2000 next week. Après ski events such as snake gliss are still popular with guests looking for something a new to do on the slopes.
