Les Arcs snow report 11.01.2013

Here is the latest snow report from our team in Les Arcs

The snow at the top of the Les Arcs ski area is 230cm with 95cm in resort. It has been snowing overnight with a nice amount of snow falling.

After a week of glorious sunshine conditions in Les Arcs, the resort has awoken to a powder day.  The new snow combined with the low freezing level will guarantee that all the slopes from top to the bottom of the mountain will be refreshed.  With powder conditions across the resort skiing conditions will be excellent and sure to please all those who are here.

Runs under the Grizzly, Derby and Vallandry lifts will provide some fantastic skiing conditions for fans of skiing on runs lined with snow filled trees.  Likewise the runs down into Arc 1600 will provide some beautiful skiing.  At the summits of the Aigulle Rouge and the Col de la Chal the snow is superb.

As the Redbull Line Catcher event draws closer, the outlook for more powder in the coming weeks is sure to excite many.  The backcountry freestyle event is set to showcase some of the best freeskiers in the world.  A likely snow fall of 35cm is expected over the next week will ensure sumptuous powder conditions well into January.

Snow forecast for the next 3 days:

Friday: Highs of -7°C and lows of -19°C light snow (4cm expected)

Saturday: Highs of -6°C and lows of -12°C light snow (4cm expected)

Sunday: Highs of -8°C and lows of -19°C light showers (3cm expected)
