Les Arcs Snow Report, 09 March 2010

A Family in Les ArcsThere is a depth of snow reaching 210cm at the Aiguille Rouge at 3300m and at Les Arcs 2000 where our chalets are located the snow depth is 140cm.

The last two weeks have both seen large dumps of snow with additional sprinklings, to ensure that every run has firm, well pisted runs to offer.

Even into March Villaroger is still snow covered meaning all of Les Arcs is available.  Runs of the peak down towards Vallandry all the way to 1600 offer great snow conditions meaning the crowds are dispersed and if you know where to go you can have a run all to yourself.

The forecast for the next few days is for snow showers over the next day or so and then light snow for the rest of the weekend.

For the first time this season the flying kilometre is open to the public which has people excited either to watch or see if they have the nerve to give a go for themselves.  In addition the X-Games being just across the valley has skiers and boarders keen to try a few tricks in the park.
