Les Arcs Snow Report, 09 Apr 2010

Les ArcsAt the high point, Aiguille Rouge at 3300m, there is a snow depth of175cm and at Les Arcs 2000 where our chalets are, there is115cm.

For April the ski conditions have remained fantastic. Some colder weather over the last couple of days has meant that the slightly slushier snow lower down has firmed up.

Morning skiing remains slightly more reliable than in the afternoon but that is to be expected by this stage of the season.

After a few days without seeing the sun it is meant to return strongly over the weekend. Colder temperatures over the weekend and early next week should also mean the longevity of the snow will be increased.

The water slide outside the Altiport restaurant remains a favourite hangout for skiers around Les Arcs. People have even been spotted doing the whole thing in their underwear!
