Les Arcs snow report 08/02/2013
Here is the latest snow report from our team in Les Arcs
There is 200cm of snow at the top of the Les Arcs ski area with 108cm in resort. There is a light dusting of fresh snow forecast for tomorrow.
105 of the 107 ski runs are open here in Les Arcs with all 51 ski lifts open.
Bright and fantastic sunshine has spread over the Les Arcs resorts and after a few days of freshly laid snow everyone from beginners to more advanced skiers will be glad to ski on lovely soft powder. A beautiful view of the majestic Mont Blanc in its full glory can be seen today, particularly from our highest peak in Les Arcs 2000 at the top of the Aiguille Rouge funiculaire.
From the Bois de L’Ours lift in 1950 to Peisey and Vallandry, there are excellent well groomed pistes. Skiiers and Boarders can experience beautiful views of La Plagne and the Bourg Saint Maurice valley from the higher pistes over les arcs 1800 or take advantage of picturesque tree lined pistes covered in thick snow. A warming vin chaud or an exquisite hot chocolate can be drunk at the lively Arpette in Les Arcs 1800 on the slopes.
1950 Les Arcs village has been a buzzing location for much apres ski activities this week such as snakegliss, night skiing, night Disco sledging and soirees in hidden mongolian yurts where guests can enjoy a apperitifs and a delicious savoyard meal surrounded by snow and the trees.
