Les Arcs Snow Report 05/03/2013
Here is the latest snow report from our team in Les Arcs
There is 251cm of snow at the top of the Les Arcs ski area with 114cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was on 23rd Feb with around 5cm falling.
There are 104 out of 107 of pistes open in the Les Arcs ski area with 47 out of 51 ski lifts open.
With clouds rolling in, powder conditions are on the horizon! After a week of glorious sunshine, Les Arcs is set to get a fair amount of new snow that will refresh the pistes and produce some excellent conditions across the resort. Nearly 25cm of new snow if predicated over the next few days, with temperatures decreasing throughout the week, the new quality of the new snow base will be excellent.
As winter turns to spring in the Tarentaise Valley, Les Arcs is already getting into the party spirit. The infamous water slide by the Apocalypse Park is now open and daring souls can be seen gliding across the water, hopefully making it to dry land at the end. The Gavaggio Monster Cross is taking place this week, pitting some of the best junior ski cross competitors across Europe together in this 4 day long competition. For those that fancy a bit more airtime, the airbag competition by the Vagere is certainly worth checking out.
With great conditions across the resort and more snow set to fall, Les Arcs is looking like a winner going into spring.
