Les Arcs Snow Report 02/04/2013
Here is the latest snow report from our team in Les Arcs
There is 270 cm of snow at the top of the Les Arcs ski area with 107 cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was on 31st March with around 3cm falling.
There are 92% of pistes open in the Les Arcs ski area with 96% ski lifts open.
Sunshine has returned to Les Arcs this week, prompting a number of panda eyed guests in resort. The past few weeks’ heavy snowfall has left the pistes in excellent condition considering the time of year. Also pleasantly surprising is the condition of the pistes to the lower lying areas such as Villaroger and Vallandry, the late season heavy snowfall has ensured that these runs will continue to be very much skiable right to the end of the season.
The outlook for the rest of the week is a mixture of sun and snow, with temperatures remaining below freezing which will maintain the quality of the snow. Tuesday and Wednesday are looking the sunniest, with light dusting of snow until Friday and the return of the sun at the weekend.
The water slide in Les Arcs is a must see for those visiting Les Arcs this week, watching the those brave enough to do it with one ski on is quite a sight from the sun drenched safety of a beach deck chair!
