Here is the latest snow report from our team in Lech
There is 225cm of snow at the top of the Lech ski area with 105cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was yesterday with 6cm falling.
98% of the runs are open here in Lech with all 68 ski lifts open.
The next couple of days is going to be sunny at intermittent stages. In between that on Thursday and during the night it is meant to be snowing.
After a very warm and sunny couple of days the mountains were in need of a fresh layering of snow and that is what it got! Yesterday the heavens opened and snow came down very heavily which also made the light very flat creating poor visibility, but the fresh snow has made for a great next couple of days skiing especially with the sun shining! This fresh fall will ensure for great on piste conditions as it was starting to get very icy. The pisten bullys will be working hard to make sure that the pistes are perfectly pisted for all to enjoy. With this snowfall old off piste tracks have been covered ready for you to create some new and exciting skiing! Temperatures are rising so get out and enjoy the fresh mountains!
Wednesday 30th January – Lech ski lifts discovery tour! Between 15:00 and 17:00 at the Weibermahdbahn you can learn first-hand about what goes on behind-the-scenes of a working ski-lift. You will be accompanied on skis to visit a cable-car installation, a snow-grooming vehicle and a snow-making facility.
Wednesday 30nd – Lech and Oberlech ski schools are performing their legendary torch relay in a fantastic ski show and a journey into the history of skiing, which is taking place in Zurs this week at 10pm. Its said to hold the audience spellbound!
