Lech Snow Report, 28 Feb 2012

Lech, AustriaAfter 5cm of new snow on Sunday there’s now 370cm on the upper slopes of Steinmader and in resort there’s up to 175cm.

With some warm weather recently there has been a spring feeling to the skiing in Lech. Loads of sunshine, around freezing, and loads of relaxing skiing! Why not head over for lunch at Mohnenfluh, soak up the spring sun and take in the stunning views of the Lech valley and Omeshorn Mountain? The village, as always, looks magnificent set against the sharp blue backdrop of the mountain sky. The slopes are still quiet at this time of year, but why not try the almost untouched run diamond 37 which brings you back near to the Hotels Sonneck and Alexandra. It steep, but an absolute beauty, but virtually undeterminable on the piste map!

We might encounter some cloud this morning (Tuesday) but after that we should see wall to wall sunshine for the rest of the week. Temperatures will be warm again, around 2 or 3 degrees during the day.

The winter Golf week is approaching on the 17 March! Take this opportunity to try some winter golf out on the 9 hole course with special equipment.
